MMR Immunization Clinics

These clinics are for individuals who are not yet considered immune to measles. If you believe you have come into contact with measles or suspect you may be sick, please do not come to this public clinic. Contact your primary care provider immediately for guidance on appropriate testing and next steps.

Acceptable proof of immunity includes documentation of one or more of the following:

Written documentation of adequate vaccines for measles, mumps, and rubella

Laboratory confirmation of previous measles infection

Laboratory evidence of protective measles antibody titer

Birth before 1957

Virtual Schools Vision & Hearing Screening Opportunity

The Howard County Health Department, in partnership with the Indiana Lions Club, is offering free vision and hearing screenings for students enrolled in Indiana private/parochial schools, online schools, or homeschool programs. These clinics are intended to help families connect with school screening requirements for applicable grade levels while making screenings more accessible to students who do not attend traditional in-person schools.

• Thursday, 12/03  from 11am - 3pm
• Tuesday, 12/15 from 9am-1pm
• Location:  Howard County Health Department, 120 E. Mulberry Street, Kokomo, IN 46901 - Room 206

Narcan Information

Be Prepared – Save a Life! 

Citizen Opioid Responders (COR) is a brief, online training program about opioid overdose reversal that is being offered by Indiana University. It provides science-based overdose response education to support community naloxone/Narcan distribution efforts. COR has been available in Dearborn County since 2022 and has recently been expanded to all nine IU campuses and adjacent communities. The expansion of the IU COR program was made possible through the ongoing support of the Women’s Philanthropy Leadership Council and IU Foundation donors in 2025-2026. Over the next year IU will be able to also expand access to naloxone, also known by the brand name Narcan, on all IU campuses. Learn more about IU COR program at https://go.iu.edu/stopoverdose.
